Dr. Stelios Yiatros
Assistant Professor in Structural Engineering, Cyprus University of Technology
Dr Stelios Yiatros is an Assistant Professor in Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics at the Cyprus University of Technology since May 2016. He was elected Lecturer at the same university on October 2011. Prior to his election at CUT, he was a Lecturer in Structural Design at Brunel University in the UK. Between 2015-2017 Stelios was a Marie Curie Intra Fellow at Cranfield University (UK) where he undertook experimental structural integrity and stability research. Upon the successful entry of CUT in the Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT Climate-KIC), Stelios became the Education Lead for the local network, while he is also one of the co-founders of Chrysalis LEAP,
the first business idea accelerator for sustainable solutions in Cyprus. His research interests include topics of nonlinear structural stability and integrity of optimized structures as well as sustainable construction methodologies.
