Dr. George Karagiorgis

Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Frederick University

Dr. George Karagiorgis is a graduate of City University, London (BEng and PhD degrees). After completing his studies he worked for a period of two years at Imperial College, London as a research scientist. His work at Imperial was focused to fluid-structure interaction simulations, in relation to energy issues. His present employment is with Frederick University, where he holds the position of Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He has more than 20 years’ experience on research and development projects related to Energy, RES, Energy storage systems, and hydrogen storage. He is the author of more than 43 publications in scientific journals and conference proceedings. The last couple of years his research is mostly focused on RES and H2 and Fuel cells. He is a Member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ΕΤΕΚ).
