Dr. Alexandros Charalambides
Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Science and Technology, Cyprus University of Technology
Dr Alexandros Charalambides is a full-time Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Science and Technology and also served on the Board of Directors of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). He is the Director of the Sustainable Energy Laboratory (www.energylab.ac.cy), a multi-departmental research laboratory. The research activities of the laboratory are focused on sustainable development, and more specifically on solar energy, algal biomass, energy efficiency and biomimicry. Over the past seven years, members of SEL have prepared, managed and coordinated successfully-funded research projects, with a total budget of the order of €2,000,000 with partners from both industry and academia.
