Dr Stella Mourouzidou Damtsa

Dr Stella Mourouzidou Damtsa is a banking and finance professional with extensive experience at the Bank of Cyprus PCL. Among other qualifications, she has a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Manchester a Master's degree in Financial Economics and an MBA from the University of Cyprus. She is a CFA charterholder and Fellow of the International Compliance Association (ICA), UK.
Since joining the Bank of Cyprus, Stella held several management roles, including her current one as Manager Segments and Propositions. In this capacity, she is responsible for Segments, CRM, Analytics, and Business Intelligence. Her past positions include Regional Manager, Manager Strategy and Premier Banking, and Head Private Banking.
As a dedicated advocate for continuous learning and knowledge sharing, Stella regularly participates in financial conferences and interviews. She firmly believes in financial literacy and actively works on updating and sharing knowledge with the community. Her research was published in the Journal of Financial Stability and the Review of Corporate Finance. Her paper "National Culture and Bank Deposits" received the best paper award at a University of Manchester conference.
Stella enjoys skiing, playing the guitar and singing. She also authored a children’s book called ‘Kyriacos and his dog Fiona’.
