Dr Christodoulos A. Hadjichristodoulou is a Curator at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation. He holds a BA in History and Archaeology, specializing in Byzantine Archaeology, from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. He went on to pursue postgraduate studies and received an M.A. in Byzantine History. He submitted his doctoral thesis, “Benefactors of churches and donors of heirlooms during the period of Turkish rule in Cyprus (1571-1878)”, at the University of Cyprus.
His research interests are mainly Byzantine and post-Byzantine archaeology as well as historical banking archives, art history, folk painting and historical cartography. He has published books, and a series of articles in scholarly journals and presented the results of his studies at international conferences.
