Celia is the Founder and Managing Director of GrantXpert Consulting, an expert consulting and training company on national and EU funding programmes. The company was founded in 2009, following the successful application under the national funding scheme “Women Entrepreneurs”.

She studied for a BSc in Accounting & Finance at the London School of Economics (LSE) in the UK and she continued her postgraduate studies (MPhil) in Management Studies at Cambridge University. In 2013 she completed her PhD studies at the Management School of the University of Sheffield, examining “Stakeholder perceptions of M & A Human Success Factors: The case of Cyprus”. For her PhD studies she has obtained 100,000 EUR funding by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation.

She has a specialisation in Entrepreneurship and Management of SMEs, both from a practical and an academic perspective. Celia is an authorised trainer from HRDA in areas related to start-ups, entrepreneurship education, leadership skills, management of SMEs and EU funding programmes. Celia was in charge of preparing the business plan and the feasibility study of the Horizon 2020 CSRC project. In April 2019 she received the Madame Figaro “Businesswoman of the Year” 2018 Award.

Celia is an expert consultant in European and national funding programmes for the past 15 years. GrantXpert, Celia’s company, has assisted local and European organisations to utilise more than 16 mln EUR from EU and national funds in the past 10 years. Celia has developed an in-depth expertise in different EU and national funding programmes (Erasmus+, Horizon, EUROSTARS, EUREKA, Europe for Citizens, Research Promotion Foundation, LIFE+).
