We collaborate very closely with the government and receive their explicit support for common initiatives (i.e. delegations, events) pursuing our common goal. Also, we provide them with the front-line’s feedback (from the startups) towards a regulations reform and legislative changes to further support innovation in the country.

We collaborate with the above to import knowledge from their innovation ecosystems, organise events with speakers or mentors from their countries, to train our startups or our staff in their institutions and develop exchange programs for our startups.

The amazing 56-hours Cybersecurity Cyberdefense Hackathon came to an end. 14 teams and more than 90 contestants and mentors participated in a vibrant event organized by 𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐀. The brilliant, sophisticated and scientific ideas presented made the Judges’ task very difficult: 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞: Equally to 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 with a mechanism to detect, analyse and rectify fake news and 𝐄𝐱𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐞, a safety system (software & hardware) against malicious USB sticks. 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞: Equally to 𝐈𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐬 with a drone application that analyses an area using a commercial drone and a mobile app and 𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐫𝐋 with a secure encrypted chatting application tailored made against interceptions. 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞: 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜 with a riffle shooting simulator for training purposes that replaces the need to use real gunfire.

Cyprus is at the European finals!!!
We are excited to announce that Cyprus made it to the finals of the European Commission’s competition: #EuropeanEnterprisePromotionAwards! Having surpassed 260 applications from 29 countries, IDEA is now among the 3 finalists, proudly representing Cyprus!
We hold our breath until next Tuesday evening at #Helsinki! All the best Cyprus. All the best IDEA!!

Another field trip at Tel Aviv and DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival is completed. We are delighted to announce that IdeaCy and OEB – Ομοσπονδία Εργοδοτών & Βιομηχάνων, signed a formal cooperation agreement, under which OEB will offer to the young, aspiring entrepreneurs of IDEA, mentoring, training and networking!
