The 3rd BoC hackathon has come to an end. 72 hours of coding, over 150 people, in a competition by the Bank of Cyprus and IdeaCy. Topics included electronic payments, smart wallet, KYC, micro loans, micro donations, APIs intergration, analytics, robo-advisors. Team #MrBill won the 1st place with €6000: A #Bank2Bank payment method for paying bills from any vendor. #VasilkoffLTD won the 2nd prize with €4000: A smart wallet system linking traditional banking and electronic contacts. #FinRobot won the 3rd place with €2000: A crowdfund-enabled asset management platform that allows increased liquidity and cash-flow from non-liquid assets for micro-investors. #Koshiaris team: Prize for the best Bank of Cyprus API utilization: An online auction system.
